Thanks to HTML5’s <video> tag, you can include videos as simply as picture in any html site. You can also do this in the Converia CMS (use the source code in the RTE). The only problem here is the compatibility of the video encoding with different devices and operating systems. If there are any video specialists in your company, they may provide the video in a suitable format and size. Please note that the Converia servers are not intended for video streaming, which is why large, high quality videos may suffer from performance issues.
In most cases, the easiest way to embed a video on your Converia website is to upload it to YouTube. Insert the embed code from YouTube in the source code of the Converia article (type RTE). This way, you don’t have to worry about compatibility. You can set the video on YouTube as unlisted video so it will not appear in any search results.
The embedding itself only takes little effort. If you send us the YouTube embed code, it will approx. take 10 minutes. If you send us the link to a video file (size max. 50 MB), it will approx. take 20-30 minutes. However, Please note, that we can’t guarantee the playback ability and compatibility for the video.
How to embed a video on your website and what to pay attention to is described in our manual: Writing Article Contents
