Sessions store information such as titles and descriptions in any available language, start and end times, and access limitations. This information can be pulled from Converia via synchronization from the conference planner or entered directly in the Virtual Venue backend.
Synchronizing the Conference Schedule
If your program structure is complex and you already use Converia for your conference management, it is recommended to synchronize the conference planner with the Virtual Venue. In this case, the program is created in the Conference Planner instead of in the Virtual Venue backend.
Corrections and adjustments in the Virtual Venue backend are generally possible, but should only be made once the schedule is no longer synchronized with the Converia conference planner.
The following session information is transferred from the conference planner:
- Start and end times
- Assignment of a track
- Chairs
- Title
- Description
NOTE: Any adjustments made in the Virtual Venue backend will only affect the Virtual Venue. The conference planner is not updated when changes are made in the Virtual Venue backend. If the conference schedule is subsequently resynchronized with the Virtual Venue, any changes made in the Virtual Venue backend will be overwritten.

Adding Sessions
If the Converia conference planner is not used, sessions can be created in the Virtual Venue backend under Program > Sessions. All relevant information will then be added directly in the Virtual Venue backend.
The following information can be entered:
- Start and end of the session
- Assignment of a track
- Assignment of chairs
- Enable/disable session chat
- Prioritization
- Title
- Description
- Set content element
- Assign access restriction
- Determine time offset phases
NOTE: In order for people to be assigned as a chair, they must have a valid booking in Converia.
